Brookfield Office Properties Inc. was formed under the
Canada Business Corporations Act on September 5, 1978 to continue the business of the Canadian Arena Corporation which was incorporated in 1923 under the
Quebec Companies Act, 1920. Our articles have been amended from time to time to change our capital structure and to make the following name changes: Carena-Bancorp Holdings Inc - Le Holding Carena-Bancorp Inc. (November 1978), Carena-Bancorp Inc. (January 1985), Carena Developments Limited (March 1989), Brookfield Properties Corporation (May 1996) and finally to Brookfield Office Properties Inc. (May 2011). Our articles were restated on September 5, 2002.
Brookfield Office Properties' by-laws were amended and restated on April 27, 2005.
