Each of our Property, Power, and Infrastructure operating entities has their own human resources infrastructure. The Corporate Human Resources team in Toronto is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to support Brookfield Multiplex Construction Canada and Brookfield Financial. These operations have professionals in our head office in Toronto and in the United States, Brazil, United Kingdom, Germany, India, Australia and China.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources and the business unit Presidents, the successful candidate’s key accountabilities include, but are not limited to; recruitment and selection initiatives, on boarding, employee relations, compensation, training, performance management and general human resource administration. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct and manage the human resource activities, operations and processes;
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management; 
  • Identify staff vacancies and manage recruitment process including interviewing and selecting qualified applicants; 
  • Provide consultation and advice on a variety of employee relations and human resource issues, including attendance management, disciplinary procedures, terminations, ethical or harassment concerns, conflict resolution and health and safety initiatives;
  • Assist management in the identification of training and development needs and the succession management process; 
  • Manage the relocation process including international transfers and relocations;
  • Advise on the interpretation and administration of company policies, programs and best practices;
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives and perform exit interviews;
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Experience:

5 years of Human Resources management experience

  


Education:
University degree and completion of a recognized Human Resources Management program

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
